HOW TO SIGN UP FOR AN EVENT

1)  Find the event you would like to volunteer for on the calendar. If an Event Leader and email address are listed, we are taking registration. If not, please check back. And, if you would like to volunteer to become an Event Leader or learn more about it contact: Eventleader@svcapecod.net.
(See the FAQ page on this website for more info on what a Team Leader does.)
2) Send an email to the Event Leader listed (if you click on the email address it should take you to your email account) including the name of the event in the subject line and include your full name and phone number in the body of the message.

3) You will receive confirmation via email from the leader that you are on the list for the event. About a week prior to the event the leader will send you details including meeting time and location, directions, requested attire and any additional details we have. Should you have any questions, please email your leader. Please do not ask them to call you.

4)  Should your plans change and you need to cancel, please notify your leader ASAP. These organizations are counting on our help!

5) Should you encounter any difficulties with any of this please notify SVCC: volunteer@svcapecod.net.

Annual Auction
AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod

This event will be a silent and live art auction.  Volunteers will act as art runners, will help with silent auction set up and break down, will be bartenders and scribes. Dress is casual.  Food and T-shirts will be provided.

Harbor to the Bay, Bike Ride from Boston to Provincetown
AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod

This event is a bike ride from Boston to Provincetown. Volunteers will set up final pit stop, direct bikers where to go, arrange food area, set up and break down closing party, and serve food. Dress is casual. T-shirts and lunch and/or dinner will be provided.

This event will be run at two locations in Provincetown. Volunteers will assist wth checking in runners, directing runners where to go, and handing out water. Dress is casual. T-shirts and snacks will be provided. Elaine will try to arrange carpooling so that everyone will not have to drive.

Pops by the Sea 2010 Gift Bag Stuffing
Arts Foundation of Cape Cod

Volunteers will distribute small items for inclusion in Pops Gift Bags and then place items in the gift bags.  Dress is casual and comfortable. Pizza and soda will be served. Two complimentary lawn tickets for Pops by the Sea 2010 will be given to each volunteer who stays and works for the full duration of the bag-stuffing event.

Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen's Association "Hooker's Ball".

This is the CCCHFA's tenth annual "Hooker's Ball", a yearly fundraising event with between 300 and 500 guests.
The guests have an evening of seafood and drink, games, entertainment, raffles,and a live and silent auction.  SVCC volunteers will assist with raffles and the silent auction. Dress is black or khaki pants with white top. A meal will be included for volunteers. The event will be held under a white tent on the VFW grounds.

Against the Tide
Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition

Volunteers will assist with this year's Against the Tide event, a swim, walk, kayak, and run event by helping with registration, acting as walk guiders, handing out water, setting up and breaking down the event.  Dress is casual.

Volunteers will direct race participants along the proper race course and man fluid stations.  Dress is casual with comfortable shoes. Volunteers will recieve a tee shirt and race refreshments. For every SVCC volunteer who signs up, SVCC will receive a donation to benefit our group.

New England Society for Abandoned Animals

Volunteers will work at the Auction by watching tables and checking participants in.
All volunteers will receive a lunchbox and drinks.  The dress is Cape Cod casual.

41st Annual Bourne Scallop Festival
Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce

Volunteers will help in the kitchen area, assist with crowd control, registration, and hand-stamping at entrance.  Dress is casual (jeans, shorts, sneakers). All volunteers will receive a Scallop Fest T-Shirt and a scallop or chicken dinner.  Come join in this fun-filled annual event.
