Welcome to Single Volunteers of Cape Cod!
Where A Single Person Can Make A Difference
About Us

Single Volunteers of Cape Cod was founded in January 2007. Word spread around the Cape and nearly 150 singles from Woods Hole to Wellfleet came out to lean what we were up to on the night of our Kickoff event. Since then we've provided volunteer services to American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Cape and Islands United Way, MSPCA, Riverview School, YMCA and many more nonprofit organizations around the Cape.

SINGLE VOLUNTEERS OF CAPE COD fosters community service while providing a vehicle for social interaction within its membership and with the people we serve. SV Cape Cod is building relationships with Cape Cod’s non-profit organizations to help meet their volunteer needs. Service projects will include assistance to human service agencies, arts and environmental organizations, and educational programs by helping with special events and ongoing projects. There are many ways to help other Cape Codders . SV Cape Cod offers a vehicle for doing this while meeting and working with other singles.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Members must be at least 21 years old and not married, engaged, or in a committed relationship. Each member must agree to participate in one event each year. A one-time, non-refundable fee of $25 is all that’s required!

A LITTLE HISTORY: Single Volunteers was started by Ann Lusk in Burlington, Vermont in 1995 and now has approximately 30 chapters in the U.S., Canada, and Costa Rica. Single Volunteers of Cape Cod is affiliated with the national organization, but is a stand-alone group that organizes its own projects and develops its own membership practices. Both social and service activities are planned during the year. Details are listed on our Calendar of Events page as they are confirmed.

AN INVITATION: We invite you to join us for service and socializing and to tell your “single” friends about SVCapeCod. We look forward to meeting other single Cape Codders who are interested in helping our community through volunteer service.
